Bilim Barine drives large-scale education and capacity-building initiatives to tackle methane emissions in agriculture and energy. By working with Kazakhstan’s leading universities, agricultural complexes, farmers, businesses, entrepreneurs, and policymakers, we develop and implement evidence-based educational programs and hands-on training that foster sustainable innovation.
One of our flagship contributions was the development of Kazakhstan’s first Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on methane reduction, now integrated into university curricula. This course equips students, researchers, and industry professionals with scientific knowledge and practical strategies to mitigate methane emissions.
What we do in these initiatives:- Develop and implement large-scale educational programs to integrate methane reduction and renewable energy solutions into academic and professional training.
- Equip agricultural specialists, farmers, and industry professionals with knowledge on biogas technology and methane reduction strategies to enhance sustainability in agriculture.
- Facilitate collaboration between academia, industry, and government, strengthening the link between research, technology adoption, and climate policy.
These efforts contributed to Kazakhstan's endorsement of the Global Methane Pledge at COP28, demonstrating how education and institutional collaboration can drive impactful climate action at the national level.
